Dr. Robert Watson
Dr. Watson is an accomplished dentist with a diverse background in dentistry and a passion for providing exceptional care to his patients. Originally hailing from Fairfield, Montana, he pursued his education at Brigham Young University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.
Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Watson attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. With a commitment to furthering his skills and expertise, he completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
Having served in the United States Air Force as a dentist, Dr. Watson spent time in both Japan and England, gaining valuable experience and touching the lives of service members and their families. His dedication and outstanding service led him to achieve the rank of Major during his time in the Air Force.
In 2019, Dr. Watson and Dr. Bass came together in Apex, North Carolina, to establish Bass & Watson Family Dental. Combining their shared vision of offering top-quality dental care in a welcoming environment, they have since been providing comprehensive dental services to their patients.
Dr. Watson's expertise encompasses a wide range of dental procedures, including crowns, cosmetic dentistry, root canal treatment, extractions, wisdom teeth removal, Invisalign®, and pediatric dentistry. Notably, he is one of the few certified IV sedation general dentists in North Carolina, ensuring patients receive comfortable and stress-free dental experiences.
His dedication to professional development is evident through his membership in esteemed organizations, such as the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Watson finds joy in traveling with his wife, Lyana, and their three children. They enjoy exploring new places and engaging in outdoor activities, especially right here in North Carolina.
This approach takes my anxiety down tremendously
I don't like going to the dentist. Never have. Bass and Watson maintain the "casual professionalism" model. They inform you of things they see and advise but never pressure or pull out the fire and brimstone in a visit. Most of all, they cut up and have fun in the office- with their staff and with their patients. They keep it light and humorous. This approach takes my anxiety down tremendously and and much as I hate to say it...I actually don't mind going to the dentist now. 5 stars, highly recommended.
