Compassionate, patient-first approach

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first visit gives our team time to get to know you, review your dental and medical history, understand your concerns, and evaluate your oral health. Depending on the reason for your appointment, the visit may include digital imaging, periodontal screening, bite evaluation, dental photographs, a cleaning, or a discussion of treatment options.

We encourage patients to share goals, past dental experiences, anxiety, health changes, medications, and any questions they want answered. This helps the dentist recommend care in a way that feels clear and personal.

Financial and Insurance Information

Staying out-of-network allows all of our patients to experience a more relationship based experience where we can give you the time and attention you deserve.

We don’t double and triple book our patients like in-network providers.

Before Your Appointment

To help check-in go smoothly, complete available patient forms before your visit when possible. Please bring a list of medications, relevant medical information, insurance information if applicable, and any questions you would like to discuss.

If you have dental anxiety, a strong gag reflex, mobility needs, or questions about sedation, call ahead so the team can prepare appropriately.

How We Help Patients Feel Prepared

A first visit is often easier when patients know what to expect. Our team can answer questions about scheduling, forms, records, insurance information, payment expectations, anxiety, and the reason for the appointment before you arrive. If you are coming in for a specific concern, such as tooth pain, a broken tooth, missing teeth, or cosmetic goals, let us know when scheduling so we can plan the visit appropriately.

Patients who feel nervous are encouraged to share that early. Bass & Watson Family Dental works with anxious patients and offers sedation options for certain visits when appropriate. Telling us about anxiety, a strong gag reflex, past dental experiences, or difficulty getting numb helps the team prepare more thoughtfully.
